Khadijah Thompson, Bowling
Mt. Healthy High School Senior Khadijah Thompson has a different story in her life journey than most high school students. She came to Mt. Healthy City School district in 2018 from Jamaica to begin high school. As one of the top performers on the bowling team, she is a two year participant for the Mt. Healthy Owls as well as a right fielder for the softball team. In addition, Khadijah studies in four College Credit Plus classes to prepare her for college next year when she will attend the University of Dayton. She recently accepted a full scholarship that includes tuition, living expenses and books, which is an amazing opportunity for her and her family. She plans to study Aerospace Engineering while majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. “I am extremely excited,” she stated when asked how she felt about receiving this scholarship. She also hopes to continue bowling in college on a club team or even beginning a team at UD.
